By using Kept, you agree to these terms. If you don't, please don't use the app.

What Kept is — and isn't

Kept is a record-keeping aid for homeschooling families. It is not legal advice. Homeschool requirements vary by state and province and change over time. The requirement summaries in the app are provided for your convenience, sourced and dated, but Kept does not guarantee they are current, complete, or correct for your situation. You are responsible for verifying current law with your school district, evaluator, or supervising authority. The reports Kept produces are formatted to match what a jurisdiction's law asks a record to contain; Kept does not certify, submit, or guarantee acceptance of any document.

Your content

Everything you log stays on your device and belongs to you. You are responsible for keeping your own backups. Because your records never reach us, we cannot recover data lost from a device that hasn't been backed up.

Kept Plus subscription

Logging is free. Kept Plus is an optional auto-renewable subscription that unlocks the PDF exports, unlimited children, and your full history. It is offered monthly ($4.99 USD / $6.99 CAD) or yearly ($39.00 USD / $49.00 CAD), each starting with a 7-day free trial. Prices may vary by region and are shown in the app before you buy.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID account settings; cancelling stops the next renewal and takes effect at the end of the paid period. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Apple's agreement also applies

Kept is licensed, not sold, to you for use only under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), which governs your use alongside these terms.

No warranty; limitation of liability

Kept is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, including any consequence of relying on a requirement summary or a generated report. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law of your jurisdiction that cannot be waived.
